I thought I would do a “my favourite things” blog every month, so here are my favourite things for February.

KATIE LOXTON “WONDERFUL” CANDLE

After buying way too many candles over the Christmas season, my New Years resolution was to cut down on the candle buying.  Fail!  I came across this Katie Loxton candle and it smells as its name suggests, wonderful.

A vibrant mix of pomegranate and sweet apple scents that is very uplifting and luxurious.  It cost £19.99 but if you are in to candles, then I would definitely recommend it.
SMASHBOX LIMITLESS EYE LINER

Hmm, me and eyeliners!  I admit I do struggle with some eyeliners and have tried many and varied.  I have to say that this one from Smashbox is brilliant.  Very easy to apply and is long wearing.  Well pigmented and can be smudged to make a more smokey eye look.  It contains Vitamin E and Jojoba oil and costs £15.00.

SMASHBOX X-RATED MASCARA

I got this mascara in rich black – why would anyone want any other colour?  I liked the wand which is a tradional shape with three rows of bristles that help to extend the lashes.  It has a long wearing formula and claims to be smudge and flake free.  For me, a mascara is totally about the wand, and this one suits me very well.  I did have to apply a few coats to get the effect I wanted, but it doesn’t clump so this mascara has the thumbs up from me. Costs £15.00.
BOURJOIS SO LAQUE ULTRA SHINE NAIL POLISH IN ROUGE ESCARPIN (24)

This nail polish claims to last for up to seven days which is a big ask on my nails, as they are constantly abused by housework and the lack of rubber gloves!  The brush is thin and precise and the finish is just lovely and shiny.  I have too many red nail polishes, but this is a really good shade and I am sure will become my “go to” polish.  Really good price too at £5.99.
BENEFTIT THEY’RE REAL TINTED EYELASH PRIMER

This is a brilliant primer.  It can be used as a primer or as a stand alone mascara for a natural look.  It contains ProVitamin B5 for condition the lashes and is water resistant.  The brush is easy to use and it defines and primes the lashes prior to mascara.  Fairly pricey at £16.65, but if you are into mascara then definitely give this a try.
Please comment below if you think a monthly favourites blog would be a good idea.
