Today, I thought I would scare you all with an everyday make-up look from start to finish.
After cleansing, toning and moisturising my skin, I used Soap and Glory’s One Heck of a Blot primer to prepare my skin for foundation.
I have far too many foundations, but today I used Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation which I applied with a brush, and blended it in with a Real Techniques beauty blender. This foundation has full coverage and although I like it, I am not too keen on the smell of it, so I am trying to use it up.
My concealer is Maybelline’s The Eraser Eye anti-ageing concealer in light. I also have this in nude. This is a great concealer – it does not dry the skin or look caked. I have been consistently using this since I bought it and have already purchased a new one so that I won’t run out.
I set my foundation with my favourite powder from Bourjois. Poudré de Riz is a beautiful pale pink, finely milled powder which leaves the skin glowing.
I use the Bourjois Mat Illusion Bronzing powder to do a light contour on my cheeks. This bronzer is a great shade – not too orange.
On my eyes I use an Estee Lauder palette. I used the darkest shade to line my eyes as well.
My mascara is from L’Oreal and this is another great find of 2016. Volume Million Fatale mascara in black.
To tidy and set my eyebrows I used Benefit’s Gimme Brow which is a good shade for me, as my eyebrows are still quite dark, even though my hair is grey!
Finally, to the lips. I recently discovered this incredible lip serum from Dr Organic, Virgin Coconut oil lip serum. This is the most moisturising lip balm I have found, and you only need a tiny amount.
The lipstick I chose for today is a favourite matt lipstick from Rimmel. A great nude shade called Trendsetter (700).
I hope you all have a great week and that 2017 is a brilliant year for you.
lots of love

Beautiful! That powder you are using to set the makeup is really intriguing. I want to take a look at that line. Where do you get yours from? I need GLOW!
I got it from Boots the Chemist. Do you have Boots in the USA? Thanks for reading the blog Janine.x
We don’t have Boots stores but Walgreen’s and Target carries Boots products. The selection is not huge though. I’m thinking you may have a bigger selection than we do here.
