Well that’s January over with! I am so looking forward to spring and some warmer weather. Looking back over January I have picked out the products I have been using regularly. My skin really does not like the cold weather so I like to use a mask at least once a week. This month I have been loving the SpaScriptions Brightening Mask.
This is a sheet mask that is loaded with product and contains glycolic acid and Vitamin C, both of which will help the skin to look revitalised and smoother. These are excellent masks and I definitely see the difference in my skin the next day.
To give my body a bit of scrub, I have been using The Body Shop’s SpaFit Smoothing and Refining Body Scrub. This smells of freshly squeezed oranges and grapefruits and is utterly divine.
My next favourite came out of the 2016 Marks and Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar, and it’s the perfume Atropa Belladonna from Shay and Blue. I have almost finished it and I am going to purchase a full sized bottle. I have been trying to describe the smell, but I simply can’t! All I know, is that I have been reaching for it every day and I love it.
I had some Holland and Barrett vouchers for Christmas, so I picked up quite a few products from Dr Organic. I have to say, I am totally impressed with this brand and have been loving the Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Lip Serum. It is excellent, and you only need a very small amount to completely cover your lips. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I need to.
My favourite mascara at the moment is Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes. There are lots of great mascaras out there, and this is one of them. It separates, lengthens and stays put all day. All you need a mascara to do.
I have more lipsticks than I care to own up to, but I have been wearing quite a lot of red in January. The one lipstick I go back to time and time again is Rimmel Take the Stage no. 500. It is a matt lipstick, very long lasting and comfortable to wear – not to drying on the lips.
Finally, from Lancôme, a fantastic moisturiser, Absolue. This has been a bit of a find for me, as it has kept my skin really moisturised all day. You know how you start the day looking glowing and healthy, but after 5 or 6 hours you look grey and dehydrated – well this has definitely kept the glow going. It also has SPF15.
That’s it for this week, I hope next week is good for all of you.
