I definitely have a love of high-end products, but as this can be an expensive habit to cultivate, I do like a bit of a challenge to find a high street equivalent if I can. Here are four dupes that I think are pretty close to the more expensive brand.
Having been a fan of Pixi Glow Tonic (as recommended by the wonderful Caroline Hirons) I discovered that Freedom do an almost identical product. I have been using both regularly and the only difference is they smell different. They contain virtually the same ingredients including glycolic acid, ginseng and aloe vera. The main difference is the price.
Pixi Glow Tonic 250ml £18. Freedom Pro Studio Glycolic Radiance Tonic 200ml £6.
YSL Rouge Volupte Shine no. 9 Nude in Private is a beautiful pinky nude with a subtle sheen which is very hydrating and comfortable to wear. Rosie for Autograph Super Model Smile is an almost identical colour and sheen. I love both.
YSL Volupte Shine 9 Nude in Private £27. Rosie for Autograph Lip Glossy Super Model Smile £12.50.
The Lancôme Grandiose eyeliner is a wonderful eyeliner – its very black, has staying power and a great applicator. The Bourgois Liner Pinceau is also very black, has great staying power and also has a wonderful applicator. I can’t decide which is my favourite.
Lancôme Grandiose eyeliner £25. Bourjois Liner Pinceau £6.99.
Chanel Vita Lumière Aqua is a great light foundation which blends really well and leaves the skin looking lovely and glowy. I have recently been using the No & Lift and Luminate which leaves the skin with a similar radiance. There is maybe a little more coverage with the No 7 product. Two great foundations. Both have SPF15.
Chanel Vitalumière Aqua £34. No 7 Lift and Luminate £15.99.
I would be really interested if you have any dupes you can recommend as I’m always on the look out for a bargain.
Have a great week.
