I recently purchased the SpaceNK Clean Decoded Skincare box which was done in collaboration with the Queen of Skin, Caroline Hirons. The box cost £95, which seems like a lot, but the actual cost of the products is worth over £200. One of the main reasons for trying this box, was that I hadn’t tried any of the products before, and Caroline Hirons is a very respected skin and skincare expert, so if she thinks these items are good, I expect she is right. Having said that, there is always the way your individual skin reacts to some products or ingredients.
This cleansing gel from Oskia is lovely. I have been using it as my morning cleanser since I got the box and I love how it makes the skin feel. My skin likes it, and I have had no reaction to it.
This REN moisturiser is another hit with me. It feels like a rich cream, but it is extremely light and absorbs well into the skin and it isn’t greasy either. It is Vegan friendly and does not contain parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance or colours etc. A really great cream and would probably suit everyone.
I’m not normally a big fan of primers, and it is true that this does not contain parabens, but it does contain silicone, which gives the skin that oh so smooth appearance. It does work, and leaves the skin prepped ready for foundation. I have been using it, but I probably won’t be repurchasing it, not because it isn’t good, but just because I don’t tend to use this type of product.
This is a beautiful oil from Odacité. I know lots of folk never consider using facial oils, but try this, as it is a lightly fragranced, super creamy rich oil. It just sinks into the skin leaving it super soft and plump. Excellent for dehydrated skins.
This Mauli skin serum is also a beautiful oil which is suitable for all skin types and in particular, mature skins. (Holds hand up!). I particularly like to use oils at night.
As you can probably tell, Caroline Hirons is a big fan of the facial oil. This third oil from Herbivore and can be used under makeup or as an overnight treatment for your skin. This is also a really gorgeous oil – three oils in one box, I thought it might be too many, but if you asked me to take one out, I would definitely struggle to give one up.
The Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask is a mild exfoliating mask which is recommended for using twice a week. I’ve used it a few times now and I like it. It does seem very gentle and my skin had no reaction to using it.
It was great to find a sunscreen in the box. I always use a sunscreen and would normally go with an SPF 50. This sunscreen from Soleil Toujours has an SPF 30. It does have a tint to it which gives a light glow to the skin. I use it after all of my skincare and before applying foundation. Have used it every day since receiving the box and I would definitely re-purchase this.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. Well, what can I say? If you have never tried any powder from Hourglass, then I would highly recommend that you do. They make the most exquisite powders, highlighters and blushers. Just stunning. So I was more than thrilled to find this in the box.
